UG says it is probing freshman drowning incident
The incident is said to have happened on Saturday around 4:40pm when the student attempted to swim at a deep end of the pool.
Authorities of the University of Ghana (UG), say they are working with the police and the University Health Services to investigate the death of a freshman, who reportedly drowned while using a swimming pool at the University.

“The family of the student has been notified and the body has since been deposited at the University Hospital, while further investigations take place,” the University said in a press statement.
Authorities have assured that further developments will be made known.
