Two suspects, juvenile arrested for highway robbery
According to the Police, the suspects were arrested after surveillance was mounted on their activities and with support from community members of Buipe.
The Police say they have arrested two suspects, Adama Sule and Mahamadu Jabi, together with a juvenile for highway robbery at Buipe in the Savannah Region.
According to the Police, the suspects were arrested after surveillance was mounted on their activities and with support from community members of Buipe.
“The two robbery suspects and the juvenile have been involved in several robberies along the Kintampo-Buipe Highway,” the Police said on Facebook.
“Investigations established that the gang on several occasions attacked their victims between Portor and Kadelso along the Kintampo-Buipe Highway and robbed them of their personal effects and unspecified amounts of money.”
The Police added that other members of the gang are yet to be arrested and also urged for community partnership in getting armed men arrested.
