The Twifo-Praso District Court has remanded two men into police custody in connection with the suspected murder of a woman identified as Tahiru Zenabu at Kokoase, a community in Twifo Praso in the Central Region.

The suspects, Isaac Arhin and Richard Armah, appeared before the court but had their pleas deferred. They are expected to reappear on May 21, 2025.

According to police reports, Zenabu was discovered dead in her room on April 3, 2025, with a cloth tightly wrapped around her neck and visible bloodstains on her hands, pointing to possible foul play.

Investigators made a breakthrough on May 5, 2025, when Armah, a phone repair technician, was apprehended in Twifo Aboabo. He had reportedly used Zenabu’s phone to contact one of her friends, who promptly alerted authorities.

During questioning, Armah implicated Arhin in the crime, which led to his subsequent arrest. The mobile phone belonging to the deceased has since been recovered and is being held as evidence.

Police investigations are ongoing as both suspects remain in custody pending further proceedings.
