The suspects, Abubakar Altine and Eric Tetty Adejetey, were picked up on September 4, 2026, during a police operation at Botwe Old Town.
The Madina Divisional Police Command has arrested two men over an alleged plan to kill a Susu collector at the Botwe Taxi Rank in Accra.
The suspects, Abubakar Altine and Eric Tetty Adejetey, were picked up on September 4, 2026, during a police operation at Botwe Old Town.
Police say they were arrested while allegedly preparing to carry out the planned attack.
The alleged target, Esther Dankwa, operates as a Susu collector at the Botwe Taxi Rank.
According to preliminary investigations, the alleged plot may have been linked to a debt dispute.
Police said Abubakar Altine allegedly owed Ms Dankwa money.
After repeated demands for repayment, he allegedly conspired with Eric Tetty Adejetey to arrange for her killing.
The police say the details of the debt and the circumstances surrounding the alleged planned attack are still under investigation.
The two suspects were arraigned before the Adenta Magistrate Court on September 7.
Their pleas were not taken.
The court remanded them into police custody to reappear on September 22, 2026.
Police say investigations are continuing.
The statement announcing the arrests was signed by Chief Superintendent Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs for the Accra Region.
