The police have arrested two suspects, said to be part of a gang that robbed the Upper Amefi Rural Bank in June.
Suspects, Tahiru Issaka and Yahuza Mohammed were arrested at their hideouts, while the gang leader, Gafar Ziyech Abdul was shot dead, a police statement said.

When the robbers realised they were being pursued by the police, they set their vehicle ablaze and abandoned it, hoping that would foil the police tracking them,” the statement further noted.
Police say the suspects’ arrest happened over an eight-week period, with help from the Western, Ashanti, and Bono East Regional Police Intelligence Directorates.
