Tragic shooting incident in Yeji: Popular TikToker arrested for killing girlfriend

In a heartbreaking turn of events, a 20-year-old woman, Philipa Frimpong, widely recognized as Yaa Baby, lost her life after being shot by her boyfriend in Vutedeke, a locality in Yeji, within the Pru East District of the Bono East Region.
The fatal shooting occurred late in the afternoon on Tuesday, June 10, sending shockwaves through the community.
The suspect, Hayford Boateng, a well-known TikTok personality also known by his online name Kobby GH, has been detained by the authorities in connection with the crime.
Reports indicate that Yaa Baby was shot in her left arm, and despite being rushed to St. Martin’s Hospital in Yeji, she was declared dead upon arrival.
While the motive behind the shooting remains unclear, two of Boateng's acquaintances—28-year-old Kojo Emmanuel and 34-year-old Michael Kabutey—were reportedly present during the incident. Both men have been arrested and are currently assisting the police as investigations continue.
