Three soldiers, one other arrested for robbery near Amasaman

The police have arrested three military men and a civilian over a robbery incident that happened on June 4, 2022, at Nsakina near Amasaman.

According to a police report, the four robbed a household of 8 mobile phones and “forcibly made them transfer an amount of GH₵ 850 to a registered MTN number bearing the name Gabriel Yinsabilik.”

The suspects are № 208183 G/CPL Yinsabilik Gabriel, № 280252 G/L/CP Elikem Adams, № 209016 L/CPL Asiedu Stanley, and Malik, who is said to have confessed to the crime during interrogation.

“Preliminary investigation led to the identification of the three military personnel, who were arrested by the Military Police and handed over to the Amasaman District CID,” the report said.

The report added that the three soldiers have been released to the Military Police as investigations continue.
