The Eastern North Regional Police Command has arrested three individuals linked to the theft of a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, bearing registration number GG 2–18, stolen from Sarpeiman in the Greater Accra Region.

The arrests, which took place on April 30, 2025, followed coordinated police operations across multiple regions. Two of the suspects, identified as Kwabena Tawiah and Kwadwo Asiedu, were apprehended at a hotel in Nkawkaw, while the third suspect, Dennis Debra—alias “Kapun”—was nabbed at Pemenase in the Ashanti Region for allegedly acquiring the stolen vehicle in bad faith.

According to a police statement shared with the Ghana News Agency, preliminary findings indicate that the vehicle was taken from a car wash facility at Kuntunse Satellite, roughly six days before the arrests. Tawiah and Asiedu are reported to have confessed to selling the SUV to Debra for GH¢15,000, with GH¢2,000 already paid.

A search conducted during Debra's arrest led to the discovery of the vehicle’s ignition key in his possession. The suspects and the vehicle have since been transferred to the Accra Police Command for ongoing investigations.
