The blaze prompted an emergency response from the Ghana National Fire Service, whose personnel moved to the scene to bring the fire under control and prevent further spread.
Police say no casualties were recorded.
Following the incident, the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, visited the barracks with members of the Police Management Board and the Accra Regional Police Commander.
The team assessed the damage and engaged affected personnel.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established.
Police say investigations are ongoing and further updates will be provided when available.
The Service also commended firefighters and police officers at the scene for their response in managing the incident.
