Speaker of Parliament refers list of Supreme Court nominees to Appointment Committee
Pursuant to Article 144(3) of the Constitution, the president, Nana Akufo-Addo, has nominated four persons for appointment as Justices of the Supreme Court.

The Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Bagbin has referred the list of the fresh Supreme Court nominees to the Appointment Committee of Parliament for consideration and report.
Pursuant to Article 144(3) of the Constitution, the president, Nana Akufo-Addo, has nominated four persons for appointment as Justices of the Supreme Court. They are;
Justice Barbara Frances Ackah-Ayensu -Justice of the Court of Appeal
Justice George Kingsley Koomson – Justice of the Court of Appeal
Justice Samuel Kwame Adibu Asiedu – Justice of the Court of Appeal
Justice Ernest Yao Gaewu -Justice of the High Court
Interested persons and organizations are meanwhile being requested to submit memoranda in respect of the nominees within two weeks from July 29, 2022.
