Popular Ghanaian musician, Micheal Owusu Addo otherwise known as Sarkodie has been subpoenaed by the Accra High Court, Commercial Court 8 to offer his testimony to matters relating to Jude Osei v Kantanka Automobile Co. Ltd and Kwadwo Safo Jnr.

Sarkodie is expected to report to court on Monday, 13th June 2022 at 11:00am to offer his testimony.

The plaintiff, Jude Osei has averred that local automobile company Kantanka Automobile has reneged on its initial promise to gift a Kantanka Mensah vehicle in response to reaching 30,000 retweets on social media platform, Twitter.

In the statement of claim available to Dennislaw News, Jude indicated that he assumed the legitimacy of the Twitter account he was interacting on the basis of the fact that Sarkodie had also interacted with said account and subsequently made an appearance at the business premises of the company.

According to Jude, when he managed to reach the 30K retweets that had been requested by the account named @kantanka__daily, he was met with disappointment because another Twitter account with username @KantankaAuto published a disclaimer, distancing itself from the promised car.

The Statement read in part, "The Plaintiff says further that a tweet by popular hiplife musician by name Micheal Owusu Addo @Sarkodie in a response to a tweet by @kantanka__daily expressed his desire to drive a product manufactured by the 1st Defendant for the sake of his fans or followers.

"The Plaintiff says true to his words the @Sarkodie paid a visit to the 1st Defendant and in a tweet publicly declared that he has ordered for his first Kantanka Automobile, " it added.
