A retired Justice of Ghana’s Court of Appeal, Justice Saeed Kwaku Gyan has been honored by the Muslim Association of the Judicial Service of Ghana.

Justice Saeed Gyan, prior to his retirement had served the nation in many capacities.

In a citation signed by the President of the Association, Mohammed Habib Hudu, the group describes the retired Justice as an "Icon in the administration of justice.

It continues; “ Your sense of piety and respect for the Islamic values of honesty and integrity and contentment constantly reminds you of the obligation to be dichotomized from all forms of corruption.”

Additionally, the group acknowledges and salutes his compliance with the ethics of the bench without fear or favor.

Also, it states ‘Your erudite judgments and authorities are not only available for students of law to study but they are also meant for those who wish to be honest and just in every aspect of life.”

At the 2012/2013 Annual General Conference of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA), Justice Saeed received the first of its kind honor of ‘Incorruptible Judge’ by the Association.

He began his career in 1978 as a private legal practitioner who assisted mainly the poor in diverse ways without charging them.

He later became the Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Investigation Committee and National Chairman for the National Public Tribunal at the State House from 1986 to 1989.

From 2003 to 2004 he was a commissioner of the National Media Commission representing the Muslim community

In 2006, he was appointed a Justice of the High Court in Sekondi and subsequently became the Supervising High Court Judge of the Western Region.

In 2014, he became a member of the Judicial Service assessment committee and a member of the Council for Law reporting.
