President commissions dual court complex at Kintampo
Early this year, the President also cut the sod for the construction of a modern court of Appeal complex in Kumasi to serve the Northern sector of the country relative to justice delivery.
The President, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, commissioned on Sunday, August 8, 2021, a fully furnished dual court complex building at Kintampo in the Bono East Region as part of activities commencing his two-day working visit to the Region.
The contract for the construction of the court complex was awarded on April 19, 2019, at a cost of GH 865, 527.01, and was completed in November last year.
The Court will house the Municipal Court and other courts to be determined by the Chief Justice.
As a deliberate measure to advance and promote rule of law in Ghana by ensuring unlimited access to courts, the government commenced the construction of 90 courts across the Country.
This was revealed by the President on March 9, 2021, when he delivered the State of Nation’s address in the Parliament of Ghana.
