Police seize 150 sacks of suspected Indian Hemp, arrest two drivers
Superintendent of Police Ebenezer Tetteh, spokesperson for the Regional Police Command’s Public Affairs Unit, confirmed the seizure in a press statement shared with the Ghana News Agency.
The Eastern Regional Police Command has successfully intercepted two Howo Sino tipper trucks carrying 150 sacks of dried leaves, suspected to be Indian hemp. The trucks, registered as GN 993-14 and GG 3674-20, were found at Apesua, near Nkurakan, where the illicit cargo was hidden beneath a load of sand.

The police also announced the arrest of two suspects, the drivers of the trucks, who are currently assisting with investigations.
