In a statement issued on Sunday, July 5, 2026, the Police said the incident reportedly occurred on Friday, July 3.
The Command said investigators are working to determine the full facts and circumstances surrounding the matter.
It assured the public that the issue would be handled in line with the standards of the Ghana Police Service.
According to the statement, the Command remains committed to professionalism, discipline and accountability.
