The Bono Regional Police Command has begun a full-scale investigation into the brutal killing of two security guards of ADRAS Timber Company and the burning of a vehicle at Mpamso Forest, near Nsuhia in the Dormaa Central Municipality.

According to a statement signed by Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, the incident occurred on October 26, 2025, when about 200 armed illegal chainsaw operators attacked the guards at the timber concession.

The victims — Sani Aliyu (34) and Ibrahim Musa (35) — were reportedly shot and killed during the assault, while a Toyota pickup (GT 3079-17) belonging to the company was set ablaze.

Police responding to the scene found the bodies lying 100 metres apart, both with multiple gunshot wounds.

The bodies have since been taken to the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.

Chief Inspector Akeelah said the police are pursuing the attackers and urged the public to avoid violent confrontations, stressing that disputes must be resolved through lawful means.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to justice, assuring residents that every effort is being made to track down and prosecute those behind the killings.
