Police arrest two, for stripping teenagers naked in public

The Ghana Police Service says it has arrested two persons for forcibly stripping two teenagers naked in public, and parading them on the streets of Akupaem-Adawso in the Eastern Region.

The police in a statement said the suspects severely assaulted the teenagers while parading them on the streets on Friday, October 29, 2021.

According to reports, the teenagers were assaulted by a mob, after being accused of allegedly stealing GH¢100 and a mobile phone.

“The victims are currently onboard an ambulance to Accra for immediate medical attention and treatment at the Police Hospital,” the statement said.

The statement added that psychologists have been assigned to counsel the families of the teenagers.
