Police arrest man for allegedly murdering 12-year-old

Police in the Volta Region have arrested a man suspected to have murdered a 12-year-old boy in the Central Tongu District.
Police have also picked up two other suspects who are believed to have played various roles in the crime. Residents have told Accra-based JoyNews that the incident may be another case of ritual murder.

The Volta Regional Police PRO has told JoyNews that investigations are presently underway into the case.
Sergeant Prince Dogbatse however refrained from making the names of the suspects public, citing that the Police is dedicated to apprehending all the other suspects by close of the week.
“As for the young man, he is actually the one who committed the murder. But we believe that he didn’t act alone, he acted with some other people”, he said.
