Police arrest four, 22 being pursued over disturbance at Nkroful Magistrate Court
The suspects are reported to have besieged the court, after about 40 of their colleagues were arrested at a mining pit belonging to Adamus Mines.
The police in the Western Region have arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in a disturbance that led to the death of one person at the Nkroful Magistrate Court on April 1.

They are also said to have attacked the Headquarters of the Esiama Police and the Ellembelle District Assembly, where they threatened to assault the District Chief Executive.
"The four suspects Richard Tetteh, Kwame Gorkeh Miah, Michael Anyimiah, and Cosmos Gadekor were among a group of people who rioted at the District Magistrate Court, Nkroful on 1st April 2022, to demand the release of their colleagues who were standing trial at the Court. The group also attacked the Ellembelle District Assembly and threatened to assault the District Chief Executive.

22 others are also being pursued by the police for their involvement.
