A former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Dapaah, has accused her domestic workers of stealing large sums of money and valuables from her residence over a prolonged period.

Speaking for the first time in the ongoing criminal trial at the Accra High Court, Dapaah claimed that the accused individuals took a staggering $410,000, €300,000, and GHS350,000 (approximately $30,000) from her storage room.

Beyond the missing cash, she also reported the theft of jewelry valued at $53,000, as well as her husband's clothing.

Expressing deep distress, Dapaah recounted that these valuables had been accumulated over three decades, carrying immense personal significance.

This marks her first courtroom appearance since the case was initiated in 2023. She has accused two former female housekeepers of orchestrating the theft at her Accra residence, a case that continues to draw national attention.
