Okaikwei Central:Incumbent MP to challenge parliamentary election results

Patrick Yaw Boamah, the current Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, has announced his intention to challenge the results of the recent parliamentary election in court.
The Electoral Commission declared Baba Abubakar Sadiq of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the election winner. Baba Sadiq received 15,383 votes, edging out Patrick Boamah, who secured 14,949 votes.
Responding to the outcome, Patrick Boamah stated that he plans to pursue legal action as soon as the election results are officially gazetted. He asked party members and supporters to remain calm during the due process.
He highlighted concerns regarding irregularities in the vote collation process and discrepancies at certain polling stations, suggesting these issues warrant further scrutiny. Although he did not elaborate on specific details, Boamah expressed trust in the judiciary's ability to deliver a fair verdict.
