Odupong Agyapong Atta-Agyapong is Ghana School of Law SRC President-elect

He won against five(5) other contenders with Six hundred and thirty-six 636 votes out of the total valid votes cast, representing 33.54%.

Odupong Agyapong Atta-Agyapong has been elected as the President of the Students Representative Council of the Ghana School of Law for the 2022/2023 Academic year at the just ended Legon Congress.

He won against five(5) other contenders with Six hundred and thirty-six 636 votes out of the total valid votes cast, representing 33.54%.

His closest contender, Zelia Amsat Osman garnered 411 out of the total valid votes of 1896 representing 21.68%. The others, Anthony Baah, Theophilus Saki Sosi, Samuel Kafui Avowulanu, and Michael Sumaila Nlasia had from 19.57% to 2.22% respectively.

ABOUT THE SRC PRESIDENT-ELECT

Odupong was born in Sunyani in the present Ahafo Region. He is an economist with a specialization in project structuring and development, co-founder of Credly Consult, a financial advisory firm, and the CEO of EMC, an infrastructure investment company in Ghana.

He holds a bachelor's degree in economics(KNUST), a master's in Economic Policy Management(University of Ghana), and a Bachelor of Laws(Central University).

As SRC President, he hopes to achieve the following;

  • Advocacy towards the Review of the Systems of the Ghana School of Law(Repeat system, cost, and duration for remarking, Duration of the Bar Exams)
  • Academic Support to 50+1
  • Inclusion and Accessibility
  • Curbing the Accommodation crisis
  • SRC Hostel project
  • Financial support(Scholarship)
  • Professional Development(Internships, Law internship Directory, Law Fairs)
  • Recreation
  • Reviving and revamping GSL SRC App
  • Financing the SRC
  • Accountable Leadership(Independent accounts, procurement best practices, publication of financial Reports, Town Hall Meetings)

For the position of Vice President, Francis Boareasa-Fofie, Stacey Fredua Sefah, Jamila Isa Munkaila, and Darlington Osei Dwamena has been elected for the Kumasi, UPSA, Greenhill, and Legon Campuses respectively.

Benjamina Bernice Amihere is the SRC General Secretary –elect while Alberta Agoabey Anamogsi is Treasurer-elect and Conrad Whittal Ajuebek, Organising Secretary-elect.

The following have also been elected as Legon Campus Congress members; Adjei Sampson Amponsah, Apaloo Regina, Cecilia Opoku- Mensah, Osei Boamah Justice, and Amanda Acquaye Quarcoopome.
