NPA fines 7 companies for petroleum infractions
According to the statement dated May 23, 2022, and signed by its Public Affairs Directorate, the defaulting companies have been slapped with fines ranging from thousands of cedis to a month-long suspension of operations.
The National Petroleum Authority (NPA), has fined seven companies for engaging in "illicit third-party trading of petroleum products", a statement from the Authority said.
According to the statement dated May 23, 2022, and signed by its Public Affairs Directorate, the defaulting companies have been slapped with fines ranging from thousands of cedis to a month-long suspension of operations.
Moari Oil Co. Ltd has been fined Ghc 50,000 for engaging in third-party supplies and for the unlawful lifting of Petroleum products. In addition, the company has been suspended from operating for one month.
Rodo Oil Co. Ltd has been fined Ghc 350, 000 for engaging in third-party supplies and for the unlawful lifting of Petroleum products and also has its operations suspended for one month.
MBA Global Ltd has been fined Ghc 85, 000 for the same offense as previous companies, and a month's suspension of operations.
Ciao Energy Ltd has been fined Ghc 245, 000 for engaging in third-party supplies and Ghc 235, 000 for the unlawful lifting of Petroleum products.
Torrid Global Ltd has been fined Ghc 550, 000 for third-party supplies of petroleum products and Ghc 540, 000 for the unlawful lifting of Petroleum products.
Naddif Co Ltd has been fined Ghc 150, 000 for engaging in third-party supplies and for the unlawful lifting of Petroleum products and also has its operations suspended for one month.
GAT Oil has been asked to pay Ghc 120, 000 for third-party supplies and for the unlawful lifting of Petroleum products and also has its operations suspended for one month.
