Key Features of the MCPD Rules, 2025
- Ongoing Legal Education: Lawyers are now required to participate in structured Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Annual Credit Requirement: Each legal practitioner must complete a minimum of five (5) credit hours of CPD annually.
- Oversight and Enforcement: The NBA Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NBA-ICLE) will be responsible for monitoring compliance and ensuring adherence to these new guidelines.
