The Ministry of the Interior has raised the alarm over a fraudulent recruitment message currently circulating on social media, warning Ghanaians to disregard what it described as a scam targeting unsuspecting citizens.

In a statement issued on June 3, 2025, the Ministry discredited the message, which invites applicants to join the Ghana Security Services through a so-called “Data Gathering Form” hosted on Google Forms, with a fake deadline of June 10.

According to officials, the Ministry has not authorized any such online recruitment activity.

Officials reminded the public that legitimate recruitment into Ghana’s security services is always announced in official newspapers—not via unverified links on social media or messaging apps.

The Ministry further cautioned that submitting personal information through these fraudulent forms could expose individuals to serious cyber threats, including identity theft and financial scams.

The Ministry concluded by assuring citizens that it remains committed to safeguarding national security and curbing the spread of misinformation.
