All individuals appointed to statutory boards, corporations, commissions, and councils by former President Nana Akufo-Addo and his administration's ministers have been formally reminded that their tenure has ended.

This clarification was outlined in a press release from the Presidency dated Monday, January 13, 2025, in accordance with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845).

The announcement, signed by the acting Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, emphasized that these members officially vacated their positions on January 7, 2025, coinciding with the swearing-in of President John Dramani Mahama.

However, the statement noted that independent constitutional bodies are exempt from this directive and remain unaffected by the transition.

Plans to reconstitute the boards, councils, and commissions in question are expected to unfold in the coming months, guided by their respective enabling statutes.

President Mahama expressed his appreciation for the dedication and contributions of the outgoing members and extended his best wishes for their future endeavors.

In the interim, management teams of these entities have been directed to consult the Chief of Staff before undertaking significant decisions. This measure is intended to align their operations with the strategic objectives and policies of the new administration.
