Man stabbed by a friend at a funeral
The suspect has escaped arrest and Is wanted by the police
Kwame Frempong, a 32-year-old man has been stabbed to death by a friend called Nana Kwame, a 34-year old man popularly known as Cambodia.
This sad incident follows a quarrel that occurred between the two at a funeral in Akyem Nkwanta, a suburb of Akyem-Oda in the Eastern region.
According to reports, an argument ensued between the two friends at the funeral grounds in the afternoon, which nearly resulted in fisticuffs but they were separated.
However, Nana Kwame, unsatisfied with what happened during the day, returned with a knife and stabbed his friend, with a knife in his belly three times around 8 pm.
Nana Kwame claims that the deceased had used several abusive words on him including calling him ‘stupid’.
Meanwhile, according to Chief Supt. Daniel Amoako, the Akyem District police commander, investigation into the case has begun.
Currently, the suspect, Nana Kwame has escaped arrest and thus wanted by the police
