Emmanuel Yeboah appeared before the court, presided over by Osei Kofi Amoako Esq., to face charges of attempted murder and causing harm.
A man accused of attacking his brother and sister-in-law over a disputed cashew farm has been remanded into police custody by the Berekum Circuit Court.
Emmanuel Yeboah appeared before the court, presided over by Osei Kofi Amoako Esq., to face charges of attempted murder and causing harm.
In a statement issued on Wednesday 7 January, the Bono Regional Police Command said the suspect was arrested on 3 January 2026 after an alleged ambush on the couple as they made their way to the contested farm.
Preliminary investigations suggest the incident stems from a long-running dispute over ownership of the cashew plantation.
Police said a cutlass believed to have been used in the attack has been retrieved as evidence. The two victims are receiving treatment in hospital for multiple injuries.
Yeboah has been remanded to reappear before the Berekum Circuit Court on 12 January 2026 as investigations and court proceedings continue.
