Los Angeles 'Ketamine Queen' jailed 15 years over Matthew Perry overdose death
Sangha, often referred to by prosecutors as the “Ketamine Queen”, had admitted a series of drug offences, including one count linked directly to death or bodily injury.
A California court has jailed Jasveen Sangha for 15 years after concluding she played a central role in the ketamine supply chain tied to Matthew Perry’s fatal overdose.
Sangha, often referred to by prosecutors as the “Ketamine Queen”, had admitted a series of drug offences, including one count linked directly to death or bodily injury. The court heard that her North Hollywood residence functioned as a base for drug distribution.
Perry died in October 2023 after being found in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home. Investigators later said ketamine was the cause of death.
At sentencing, the judge said Sangha had failed to show genuine remorse for much of the period since her arrest. Before the sentence was imposed, Perry’s relatives addressed the court, with his stepmother urging the judge to impose the toughest possible punishment.
Sangha later told the court she was ashamed of what she had done and accepted that her decisions had caused deep harm.
Federal agents who searched her home said they found significant quantities of ketamine as well as other drugs, including methamphetamine, cocaine and Xanax. Prosecutors also linked her to another overdose death dating back to 2019.
She is one of five people charged in the wider Matthew Perry case. Others, including two doctors and Perry’s assistant, have also entered guilty pleas or been sentenced.
