Lands Commission to comply with Lands Act 2020(Acts 1036)
The Lands commission has served notice of its readiness to comply with the Lands Act 2020(Acts 1036) that has been passed and was assented to by the President in December 2020.
The Lands commission has served notice of its readiness to comply with the Lands Act 2020(Acts 1036) that has been passed and was assented to by the President in December 2020.
A public notice issued and signed by the Greater Accra Regional Lands officer indicates that the commission has taken steps to implement especially, the section 9 of the Act 2020, which provides for stool, skin, clan or family land.
Furthermore, the commission notes that all document to be executed from 2021 and have not been submitted to the commission or yet to be submitted to them for registration shall be dealt with per the provision of clause 4, subsection (2) of the Act.
Additionally, documents which are still in the registration process will be treated as been done in the past; and changes will not be made to documents which have already been processed and duly registered in the records of the lands commission.
