Judge sitting on the alleged Kasoa Killers’ case resigns
His Worship Adjei was not available on May 19 when the case was called. A new Judge has been assigned to handle the case
The judge sitting on the Kasoa killing case; His Worship Adjei has resigned. The case involves two teenagers alleged to have killed an 11 year old boy in Kasoa.
According to TV3’s Komla Adom who reported after proceeding on June 2, another judge has been assigned to handle the case and expected to take over other cases at the Ofaakor District Court.
The case was today adjourned for a second time in two weeks as a result of the resignation of the judge.
The court had directed prosecution to provide to the Attorney General, a duplicate copy of the docket on the matter.
On May 4th, the Police prosecutor, Ernest Agbo told the court that his investigation had revealed that the juvenile, Felix Nyarko was sixteen years, after records from various schools he had attended were reconciled.
Also the Chief Inspector; Ernest Agbo told the court that the second; Nicholas Kini was a couple of months older than nineteen years, based on their findings.
The judge was however not available on May 19; the next adjourned date, when the case was called.
As a result, the family of the deceased 11 year old boy expressed their disappointment about the slow pace of the trial.
