Ghana School of Law Opens 2026 Post-Call Admissions
The one-year programme is expected to commence in October 2026 and conclude after the end-of-year examinations in June or July 2027. Successful candidates will subsequently be enrolled on the Roll of Lawyers in Ghana.
The Ghana School of Law has opened applications for admission to its Post-Call Law Course for the 2026/2027 academic year, with a submission deadline of September 4, 2026.
The one-year programme is expected to commence in October 2026 and conclude after the end-of-year examinations in June or July 2027. Successful candidates will subsequently be enrolled on the Roll of Lawyers in Ghana.
The course is open to qualified Ghanaian lawyers licensed to practise in common-law jurisdictions with legal systems comparable to Ghana’s. Ghanaians who have met the educational requirements for admission to practise in such jurisdictions may also apply, whether or not they have been formally admitted to practise.
Non-Ghanaian applicants may be considered where they are qualified and licensed in a country with a sufficiently analogous legal system and a reciprocal arrangement with Ghana.
Applicants must possess the required final professional certificates and transcripts, including LPC, BL, BVC, BPTC or SQE qualifications, where applicable, at the time of submitting their applications. Their undergraduate law studies must also have covered subjects such as Contract, Torts, Criminal Law, Immovable Property, Equity and Succession, Company Law and Commercial Law.
The application PIN and serial number can be purchased for GH¢550 through Consolidated Bank Ghana branches, the designated USSD platform or an online bank and card payment portal.
Candidates are required to complete the online application form and upload supporting documents, including their LLB certificate and final transcript, professional qualification documents, a certificate of good standing, academic and character references, identity documents and completed declaration forms.
Certificates and transcripts issued by institutions outside Ghana must be notarised, while documents from Ghanaian institutions must be certified before upload. Shortlisted applicants will undergo a screening process and must present the original copies of their documents for verification.
