The Ghana Bar Association (GBA) has warmly congratulated President-elect John Mahama on his success in Ghana’s 2024 Presidential election.

The Association described his victory as a clear representation of the people's will and a testament to the strength of Ghana's democratic values.

“Indeed, the good people of Ghana have overwhelmingly spoken in his favour,” the GBA stated, expressing optimism that Mahama will continue to uphold and champion the democratic values cherished by the Ghanaians.

The GBA also praised the Electoral Commission, security forces, polling station agents, and both local and international election observers for their unwavering efforts in ensuring a credible and transparent electoral process.

The association further acknowledged the significant role played by voters, commending their active participation in shaping the country’s future.

“We applaud all citizens who dutifully exercised their franchise,” the statement noted.

Additionally, the GBA lauded Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his exemplary statesmanship in conceding defeat graciously.

“His timely concession reflects the maturity and resilience of our democracy,” the GBA remarked.
