The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted the headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School following allegations of sexual misconduct involving some female students.

The directive, issued on 6 December 2025, is described as a measure to protect the integrity of an ongoing investigation and to prevent any perception of interference in the process.

Under the terms of the interdiction, the headmaster has been ordered to immediately hand over all official duties, responsibilities, records and any school property in his possession to the Municipal Director of Education for Ketu North.

He is required to vacate the school premises from Monday, 8 December 2025, after completing the handover.

GES has further directed that he remain available at all times to assist with the investigation and avoid any direct or indirect contact with the female students involved, as well as any potential witnesses.

“For the avoidance of doubt, this directive does not constitute a determination or presumption of guilt on your part, but is an administrative measure issued in furtherance of due process and institutional accountability,” the statement said.

The Municipal Director of Education for Ketu North has been instructed to assume responsibility for the administration and management of Dzodze-Penyi SHS until further notice.
