Driver granted GHC 20,000 bail over accident that killed tricycle rider
The accident happened when the accused, Michael Amaoko Adusei attempted to overtake the tricycle rider on the Sunyani-Kenyasi road.
The Sunyani Circuit has granted a GHC 20, 000 bail with two sureties to a 28-year-old driver of a Toyota Hilux pickup whose negligence allegedly caused an accident that led to the death of a tricycle rider.
According to the police, the accident happened when the accused, Michael Amaoko Adusei attempted to overtake the tricycle rider on the Sunyani-Kenyasi road.
Deceased Yaw Donsah is said to have died from severe head injuries.
Two passengers from the tricycle whose names have been identified as Bismark Krah and Andrew Zinale sustained injuries and were admitted to the Sunyani Regional Hospital.
Charged with four counts of careless driving and inconsiderate driving, negligence, and causing harm, Michael is expected to reappear on April 25, 2022.
