Court remands sex for escape Policeman

Lance Corporal Isaac Ampomah, the Police officer who allegedly released a female suspect, Miss Forson, after having sex with her, has been remanded by the Cape Coast Magistrate Court; expected to reappear on October 12, 2021.
On Monday, September 27, 2021, Lance Corporal Ampomah was charged with rape and aiding the escape of a convict, when he first appeared in Court.
FACTS OF THE CASE
The facts of the case, as presented by ASP Daniel Mensah indicated that the accused person was the station officer at the Nkanfoa Police station on September 25, 2021.
Around midnight the accused gave the plaintiff, who was a prisoner on remand at that time, ‘Abe Nsuo’ popularly called “One show” to the plaintiff to drink.
Subsequently, at dawn, Lance Corporal Ampomah offered to have sex with Miss Forson in exchange for her freedom because the detective of her case is a very difficult person.
Therefore, the plaintiff acceded to the request of L/Cpl Ampomah and had sexual intercourse with him.
After gaining her freedom, Miss Forson narrated her ordeal to her father-in-law, who aided her to the Bakaano Police Station to lodge a report.
