The Minister of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has instructed the acting Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA) to provide a detailed report on all frequency authorizations issued or renewed in the past 60 days.
This directive, outlined in a memorandum dated Wednesday, February 12, forms part of the government’s Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) initiative, which aims to reclaim state assets that may have been transferred to private entities through improper or non-compliant procedures.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to transparency, the Minister emphasized that all assets under the Ministry’s control must be managed in accordance with legal and procedural standards.
The review will assess whether the processes for issuing and renewing frequencies comply with statutory guidelines and align with national interests.
The statement further indicated that the public will be kept informed about any subsequent actions following the review of the submitted information.
