Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo has stated that a committee of experts has been put together to develop strategies to address disputes relating to land in the country.
She said that the committee, which comprises judges and surveyors has been tasked to also focus on creating a comprehensive database as part of its quest to find effective solutions to land litigation challenges.
Speaking to the judicial press corps at the court complex, Justice Torkornoo emphasized that the Judiciary is actively working on digitizing its operations to tackle and eventually resolve the prevalent issue of land disputes across the country.
She added that the judiciary opted for this approach to allow experts to share their insights directly, ensuring that the efforts are not solely credited to the Chief Justice.
Further, the Chief Justice emphasized that the leaders involved in this initiative are strong and capable in their own right and further assured that Ghanaians will soon not feel distressed when seeking justice in court.
