CJ directs management to decongest courts nationwide

In May last year, the Chief Justice released a similar directive to the managers of the courts, which checked the spread of the pandemic in courts nationwide.

In a two-page circular, dated July 26, 2021,  the Chief Justice, His Lordship Kwasi Anin Yeboah reiterated that the previous Covid-19 protocols made sometime last year to decongest the courts to curtail the spread of the pandemic are still in force.

According to the Chief Justice, this directive was necessitated by the 26th Covid 19 address by the President of Ghana on Sunday, July 25, 2021.

The statement further emphasizes 12-point directives that are to be enforced by all judges, lawyers, and stakeholders of the Judiciary to stem the tide of Covid-19 in the Courts nationwide.
