Chief Justice announces waiver on court filing fees for Department of Social Welfare
The decision to waive filing fees for the Department of Social Welfare was taken at a meeting of the Rules of Court Committee.
The Chief Justice, His Lordship Kwasi Anin Yeboah has announced the grant of a waiver on filing fees for the Department of Social Welfare at all courts in Ghana.
In a letter addressed to all Registrars in June, the Chief Justice indicated that the decision to waive filing fees for the Department of Social Welfare was taken at a meeting of the Rules of Court Committee.
“At a meeting of the Rules of Court Committee held on Wednesday, 15th June 2022, the Committee granted the Department of Social Welfare a waiver of filing fees at all courts in Ghana.
This waiver is an existing dispensation granted to the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice and the Legal Aid Commission,” the letter said.
