The Ghana Air Traffic Safety Engineers Association (GhATSEA) has suspended its planned nationwide strike, which was scheduled to begin today, October 30, 2025, following what it described as “constructive engagement” with the governing board and management of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

In a statement signed by GhATSEA President, David Annan Mensah, the association said the decision to suspend the strike was reached after fruitful negotiations that offered hope for a lasting resolution to their outstanding concerns.

GhATSEA commended all stakeholders who participated in the discussions and expressed appreciation to the Acting Director-General of GCAA, Rev. Stephen Wilfred Arthur, and the Acting Deputy Director-General (Technical), Theophilus Aryee Ago, for their commitment to resolving the impasse.

The association also thanked the media and general public for their patience and understanding throughout the period of industrial tension.

The engineers reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism in air navigation services, assuring the public that Ghana’s airspace remains safe and efficiently managed.
