Agradaa granted GHC 50,000 bail, but remains in custody over charges at different court
Charged with one count of charlatanic advertisement and six counts of defrauding by false pretence under Act 29 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960, Agradaa has maintained a plea of not guilty in all her court appearances.
The founder of the Heaven Way Church in Weija, Patricia Asieduaa, aka Nana Agradaa, has been granted a GHC 50,000 bail by the Accra Circuit Court 9, following her arrest last Sunday over allegations of money-doubling scam.
Charged with one count of charlatanic advertisement and six counts of defrauding by false pretence under Act 29 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960, Agradaa has maintained a plea of not guilty in all her court appearances.
In court on Monday, October 17, 2022, her lawyer re-entered an oral argument for bail, which was granted by the court presided over by his Honour Samuel Bright Acquah.
But despite having been granted bail, she will remain in custody since she is facing the same charges at a different Circuit court, where she was remanded on October 14 to reappear on October 26, 2022.
The case at Circuit Court 9 has been adjourned to November 10, 2022.
