The lawyer for Fetish-priestess turned Evangelist, Patricia Koranteng, aka Nana Agradaa, has been charged for verbally assaulting police officers who were in the process of arresting his client when she appeared at the Circuit Court on Monday for one of her cases.

On Thursday, January 19, 2023, prosecutors told the court presided over by Rosemary Baah Tosu that the lawyer, Theophilus Donkor used abusive words on police officers who were instructed to arrest Agradaa for a separate case.

Mr. Donkor has therefore been charged with four counts of assault on a public officer and offensive conduct conducive to breaches of peace.

While the case has been adjourned to January 25, 2023, his plea was, however, reserved by the court, because he had filed an application challenging the authority of personnel from the Cantonments Police Station that arrested him.

He argues that police officers from the Cantonments Police Station did not have the authority to arrest him since the alleged crime that was committed at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, was outside the jurisdiction of the Cantonments police division.

Further in his affidavit in support of the application, Mr Donkor stated that the move to get him charged before the court was an attempt to discredit him.

Meanwhile, according to reports, Agradaa’s latest arrest on Monday concerns a case between the Evangelist and a pastor named Appiah Biblical.

Founder of the Heaven Way Church, Nana Agradaa has two cases before two Circuit Courts on counts of defrauding by false pretenses and charlatanic advertisement.
