The Attorney General and Minister for Justice Godfred Yeboah Dame has announced that his outfit is in the process of operating an integrated information management system and digitisation project. 

According to him, Information Technology has become an indispensable tool in every sector, such that legal practice cannot be an exception.

"In this regard, I note that the office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Justice is in the process of going fully digital with the operationalization of an integrated information management system and digitisation project almost near completion. 

When fully rolled out, various components of the programme will facilitate a digital handling of all cases brought to the Office of Attorney-General and other tasks the Office will be charged with. It will also result in electronic management of records at the office."

Speaking at the 2020 Legal Year Bench, Bar and Faculty Conference, Mr Dame also underscored the current need for Information Technology in the practice of Law, noting that it has become a determinant of a lawyer gaining or losing clients.

Additionally, he commended Dennislaw for its vital role in utilizing technology to disseminate vital legal information.

Moreover, Mr Dame commended the Management of the Courts for the innovations implemented to enhance justice delivery in the wake of the COVID pandemic and called for them to be made a permanent feature of the justice delivery system.
