The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice has officially withdrawn all charges against former Works and Housing Minister, Collins Dauda, and four others implicated in the $200 million Saglemi Housing case.
During a court session, Principal State Attorney Hilda Craig informed the presiding judge that the prosecution had filed a nolle prosequi on February 7, signaling the government's decision to halt proceedings against the accused.
The legal document, submitted to the High Court (Financial Division 1) in Accra, formally ended the trial involving Collins Dauda, Kweku Agyeman-Mensah (former Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing), and Alhaji Ziblim Yakubu (former Chief Director of the Ministry). The case also included Nouvi Tetteh Angelo, CEO of Ridge Management Solutions Ghana Limited, and Andrew Clocanas, former Executive Chairman of Construtora OAS Ghana Limited, who has since passed away.
Previously, the defendants faced 70 charges, including allegations of causing financial loss to the state in connection with the Saglemi Affordable Housing Project. Each had maintained their innocence throughout the trial.
Following the Attorney-General's decision to discontinue the case, the court formally discharged all remaining defendants, bringing the legal proceedings to an end.
