The Judicial Service of Ghana is unhappy with the rising attitude among a section of Ghanaians(litigants) to run the judiciary down by issuing threats and vituperative statements about the courts anytime cases do not go in their favor.

It is thus calling on those culpable in this act to cease because such a practice tarnishes the court's image and has the ability to wane the trust of Ghanaians in the Judiciary.

JUSAG President, Alex Nartey, in an interview with Citinews, made a passionate appeal to litigants to accept the outcome of cases in good faith and stop creating unwarranted impressions about Judges and the Judiciary in general.

He emphasized that it is always normal for one party to win a case while the other loses whether in Government or not thus calling for an objective comment and assessment of such outcomes by losing parties.

On the various calls for the broadcast of prominent court cases, Mr. Nartey welcomed the same but noted that it will come at a cost to the Ghanaian taxpayer because his outfit would have to procure gadgets to enable it to a nationwide broadcast.

He however added that such broadcasts should not be limited to only cases involving high political figures as witnessed in 2012 and 2020 but must be extended to cases of domestic violence and other cases handled at the various levels of courts.
