Eight final-year students at the Ghana School of Law, Makola, have received scholarships from the Lebanese Community in Ghana for the 2023–2024 academic year.

The recipients are Julius Boateng, Eugenia Ewusi Mensah, Gbedey Davina Seyram, Martin Waana-Ang, Accorley Ann Esinam, Agborly Divine Selase, Maame Akua Anima Ofori Atta, and Michael Kwame Asabre.

The scholarship ceremony took place at the Lebanese Embassy, and the Lebanese Ambassador to Ghana, Maher Kheir, welcomed the delegation from the Ghana School of Law.

The event was attended by the Head of the Legal Department, Nina Sackey; the Student Affairs Officer, Dr. Georgina Ahorbo; and a representative of the Lebanese community, among others.

Mr. Kheir encouraged the scholarship winners to uphold the legal profession's ethics and overcome the challenges they will face.

He also urged the students to advocate for the vulnerable and fight for justice.

Dr. Ahorbo commended the ambassador and the Lebanese community for their ongoing support and sponsorship of students.

She thus expressed optimism about the continued growth of the relationship between the embassy and the Ghana School of Law.
