37 stolen luxury vehicles retrieved from garages in Accra by joint EOCO-FBI team

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) says together with a team of FBI and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, it has retrieved 37 luxury vehicles suspected to have been stolen from the United States and Canada.

Announcing in a statement, EOCO said 10 people suspected to have been involved were arrested and were granted enquiry bail, as investigations continue.

“On Friday, December 9, 2022, 37 of such vehicles were retrieved from some garages in Accra during which 10 people were arrested. The investigation is ongoing and there would be updates on further developments,” the statement said. 

Meanwhile, vehicle buyers have been advised to do due diligence when purchasing vehicles.
