The General Legal Council has approved an additional 177 candidates as having passed the 2022 Ghana School of Law entrance exams.

This number is an addition to the already released list of 522 persons who were published as having successfully sailed through the exams.

The GLC exercised this magnanimity at its emergency meeting held on Monday, November 21, 2022, pursuant to S.13(1)(d) of the Legal Profession Act, 1960.

As it stands now, the total number of candidates who passed the 2022 edition of the entrance exams is  699 representing a 26% success or pass rate.

It is said that this year, some of the examiners were lecturers drawn from the various law faculties of the various universities in Ghana.

Looking at this pass rate, therefore, leaps out the conversation about whether there is a lapse relative to the training of these students at the various faculties of law or whether the fault is in the individual students.
