The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) has conferred its highest award dubbed ‘The Most Labour Friendly CJ” on His Lordship Kwasi Anin Yeboah.
According to the Association, the CJ is a team player who has solicited and considered the views of the staff in the making of major decisions.
Presenting the award to Justice Jones Dotse, who received it on behalf of the Chief Justice, the JUSAG president, Alex Nartey noted that the CJ’s transparency has eliminated staff agitation and animosity.
Also speaking at the opening session of the 1st Quadrennial Delegates Conference at Ho, the JUSAG president called on institutions to respect and support the Workers Union but not see them as trouble makers.
He indicated that when supported, Workers' Unions will rather complement the efforts of the Institutions by contributing to a strong support base for productivity.
Further to the above, the outgoing president called on the public to constructively criticize the Judiciary rather than being destructive because the latter is also an attack on the nation.
Mr. Nartey also indicated that the constitution has prescribed how Judicial Officers can be sanctioned when they err thus advising politicians to follow this and desist from running down this all-important arm of government.
Moreover, he revealed that his administration has instituted numerous projects to support the welfare of its members. Key among them is the unprecedented JUSAG Multi-purpose Hostels at Abokobi, which they have secured over 55 million Euros to commence.
